Fortnite: Battle Royale – Season 7 Rumors, Leaks And Teasers

Season 7 is dangerously close to release, and Epic has started teasing the season. This season is a little different compared to others due to the ARG marketing campaign that began recently, and the amount of small teasers and hints that have been dropping lately. In this guide, we go over all the rumors, leaks and teasers involving Chapter 2, Season 7 of Fortnite.

Release Date

Season 7 is slated for release on June 8, 2021, less than a week away. While many seasons have faced last-minute delays, that probably won’t be the case for Season 7, seeing how development on update 17.00 is complete and fully ready for release on Tuesday.

Official Teasers

An interesting thing these teasers do is have the descriptions different depending on which social platform you’re viewing the teaser on.

Teaser 1

The first teaser shows a Fishstick-themed item, a carton of milk and a ray gun inside what appears to be a UFO. It’s possible that the Fishstick thing is teasing gun charms, a cosmetic type popularized by Apex Legends and Call Of Duty. The milk could be hinting towards a cow outfit (Seeing how cows are associated with alien culture) or just be referring to an upcoming consumable, and the ray gun is evidently a new weapon coming next season.

Facebook Description (Ray Gun)

Island surveillance shows inhabitants abide by standard laws of gravitational force. Suggesting field tech deployed to counteract this.

What goes up…

Instagram Description (Fishstick Item)

Appears to be a wearable replica of some sort of amphibian creature. Note, there seems to be traces of white fur scattered around the wearable device.

More info is needed.

Twitter Description (Milk)

The creatures of the Island seem to use this strange, flimsy holding device to consume their… bone modification liquid?

Fascinating indeed.

Teaser 2

The second teaser shows an electric guitar, glasses and another science-fiction-inspired weapon inside the same setting. The electric guitar might be a reference to a possible rock star outfit for the Pass, or another gun charm, the glasses might be referring to Clark Kent/Superman (An alien who hides his identity with glasses) and the weapon looks like a futuristic shotgun, which should be added to the Loot Pool in Season 7.

Facebook Description (Futuristic Shotgun)

Final designs of proximity deterrent device now rendering. Lab results show positive effect on target movement and trajectory.

Test subjects to be acquired soon for further analysis.

Instagram Description (Guitar)

Results for device with hole in center:
-Taste – Unsatisfactory
-Possible weapon usage – subpar
-Noise when metallic strings are struck – Pleasant

More sessions needed.

Twitter Description (Glasses)

When placed onto the face this strange plastic device seemed to make us appear as unrecognizable.

More testing required.

Teaser 3

The third teaser shows an astro pistol, a robot and a helmet of sorts inside the same setting. The astro pistol might be referring to a new cybernetic item, or another gun charm, the helmet might be teasing an outfit in the Pass and the robot looks strikingly similar to the Butter Robot from Rick And Morty, which could lead to a collaboration.

Facebook Description (Astro Pistol)

Latest tests show the weapon is highly effective against organic material.

Against structures and mobile metallic transportation units the weapon becomes less effective.

Weapon approved for field use.

Instagram Description (Helmet)

Results of flower protector test.

– Ability to withstand high-impact collision – Acceptable
– Ability to withstand weapon fire – Above average
– Ability to increase style – Exceptional

No further testing required.

Twitter Description (Butter Robot)

Results of transportation bot test:

-Transporting various weaponry – Failed

-Transporting documents & schematics – Failed

-Transporting bone modification liquid – Satisfactory

No further testing required.

Battle Pass Leaks

Gun Charms?

The first teaser showcases a Fishstick plush, which might be a gun charm. Gun charms are trinkets for your guns that are heavily used in FPS games, and have been rumored to come into Fortnite for YEARS. We haven’t had a new cosmetic type since Chapter 1, Season 7 all the way back in Christmas 2018, which were weapon skins, known as Wraps. This would be the perfect opportunity to release gun charms.

Cow And Rock Star Characters

The first teaser involved a generic carton of milk, which could either be a new consumable like Meat or a cow outfit. I mentioned earlier how much cows are associated with alien media, and Epic does love implementing goofy animal outfits into the Battle Pass.

The second teaser references an electric guitar, which could pave the way for a punk rocker outfit to release, but we already have plenty of those.

Collaborations (Superman, Loki, Rick And Morty)

I already mentioned that Superman may be releasing as an outfit because of the glasses and how, y’know, he’s an alien, but the Marvel anti-hero Loki may find his way in next season’s Battle Pass. The final bonus loading screen for the May 2021 Crew Pack, New Team, has mysterious silhouettes in the background, one of which looks very much like Loki. It isn’t confirmed that he will be in the Season 7 Pass, but it’s likely.

Rick And Morty is also another possible collaboration due to Butter Robot, a character from the show, appearing in one of the teasers. Not only is the show a science-fiction-themed one, but also will have new episodes premiere this month, when Season 7 is active. This is a bit of a surprise, because Rick And Morty is a very edgy show in terms of it’s humor, but Borderlands made it into the game, so I suppose anything’s possible.

They’re Coming

In late-May, people began receiving postcards in the mail with a green-and-black aesthetic with the words “They’re Coming”. Afterwards, Fortnite YouTubers and streamers began receiving DVDs titled “They’re Coming”. The DVD contained footage of drone/aerial shots of empty fields and crop circles. Around this time, the Foreshadowing quests focused on finding clues to alien life, which coincides with the theme of the DVDs. More information in this post.
