The Zero Crisis is upon us. Chapter 2, Season 5 is coming to an end on March 16, 2021, and people have become more and more skeptical about the idea of a new live event for Season 5. Thankfully, Epic Games revealed live event plans for the end of the season, but they’re a bit different than what we’re used to.
How It Works
Instead of logging in to see the event at a specific time, the event begins as soon as you log in! This is a pretty neat change and will allow everyone to watch the event, mostly due to controversy over missing the event. And even if you log in at any point during Season 6, the live event will still be available to experience!
Updates
There have been no official updates or delays as of March 9, 2021.
The Story
Following Galactus’ defeat, the Zero Point was left exposed. This made the Imagined Order agency panic, calling upon the help of one of their employees, John Jones, to help re-stabilize the Zero Point without drawing the attention of The Seven. After arriving on the Island, Jones began to recruit hunters from different realities, like Fortnite’s original characters like Mancake and Menace, to IP-based hunters like Mando and the Predator. All this reality-hopping has caused the Zero Point to destabilize, and the event will depict the finale of Jones’ mission.
Time, Date And Location
The event will release on March 16, 2021, and we can presume it’s a 1-time thing, much like the beginning match in Chapter 2, Season 1.
