After the bombshell announcement that was Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game entering production yesterday, it appears that Ubisoft, the developer of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, is working with Lucasfilm Games. 8 years ago, Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm started their partnership to revive Pandemic’s Battlefront series with 2015’s Battlefront and 2017’s Battlefront II. But it appears that Lucasfilm is branching out with other big-name developers, and thus, we have Ubisoft.
Ubisoft is well known for their open-world titles, like Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs, so it does feel fitting that they are taking up the mantle to develop such a title with Lucasfilm. Like the untitled Indiana Jones game, we have little details about the project, except for it being a Star Wars game.
