Fortnite: Battle Royale – Operation: Snowdown Challenges Guide

Joy to the world! The latest Fortnite update, 15.10, brought over 2020’s holiday festivities: Operation: Snowdown! While a minor letdown thanks to the awesome experience that was 2019’s Winterfest, Operation: Snowdown has some challenges for us to tackle, and in this guide, we go over all 12 challenges for this year’s holiday festivities.

Day 1: Visit And Search Chests At Snowmando Outposts

The new update brought over brand-new outposts based off the new and adorable Snowmando outfit. All 5 can be found across the map, and you must visit and search 5 chests in the actual outposts. (Both are separate challenges) The outposts are going to be pretty populated, so searching chests may take a few matches. The reward for the visiting challenge is the Frost In Action loading screen and the reward for the chest challenge is the Shield Surprise back bling. Down below is a video of me going to every outpost.

Day 2: Dance At Different Holiday Trees

Every year, the holiday trees return to the Fortnite map in different POIs. Use the video down below to see which ones are where. The reward for this challenge is the Snow Strike spray.

Day 3: Destroy Nutcracker Statues

Nutcracker statues can be found all over the map. They can be found in Pleasant Park, Sweaty Sands, Holly Hedges and more. Keep in mind the footage for the Salty Towers location down below is corrupted, so in order to find Salty’s nutcracker, go to the brick house north of the city.

Day 4: Place Top 10 With Friends In Squads

This one will be a little difficult if you don’t have friends, but you can use split screen on PlayStation and Xbox consoles to play with yourself. Be sure to place in the top 10 in squads to earn the Snow Steel wrap.

Day 5: Travel 5,000 Meters In An X-4 Stormwing

You may recall X-4 Stormwings as the notorious airplanes from Chapter 1, Season 7. Well, they have returned for the holiday season, and this challenge requires us to fly 5,000 meters in one.

Day 6: Travel 5,000 Meters In An X-4 Stormwing

You may recall X-4 Stormwings as the notorious airplanes from Chapter 1, Season 7. Well, they have returned for the holiday season, and this challenge requires us to fly 5,000 meters in one to earn the Snowblaster emoticon.

Day 7: Shoot Down Opponent Structures With X-4 Stormwings

Hold on to your Stormwings! This next challenge has us destroy 10 enemy structures while flying in one to earn the Winter Wing glider.

Day 8: Collect 100 Gold Bars

Gold bars can be found by searching chests and vaults, eliminating enemy players and by accepting quests from NPCs. Collect 100 of these to earn the GG Fresh emoticon.

Day 9: Catch A Snowy Flopper

The Snowy Flopper is a new item that was released this Christmas which can be found on Lazy Lake Island where the Turk NPC is located. Catch one to earn the Toe Pick harvesting tool! And, if you completed every challenge up to this one, you’ll unlock the Snowmando outfit!

Day 10: Revive A Player In Different Matches

For this challenge, you need to revive a teammate once in 3 matches. Doing so will reward you with the Merry Marauding loading screen.

Day 11: Hide Inside A Sneaky Snowman In Different Matches

For this challenge, you need to use and hide in a sneaky snowman once in 3 matches. These items can be found all over the map, and you can even hide in someone else’s snowman too! Doing so will reward you with the Merry Fishmas spray.

Day 12: Play Duo/Squads With Friends

For this challenge, you can just use split screen or alternate accounts to enter and exit 5 duos and squads matches. You will not only earn the Frosty Globes harvesting tool, but also the Frost Squad outfit if you completed every challenge so far!

Day 13: Deal Damage With The Lever Action Sniper Rifle

The Lever Action Sniper Rifle is one of the newest additions to the loot pool. You can find it in Team Rumble and it’s pretty common to find one, so all you need to do is deal 100 damage with one of these things and you will earn the Fish Fest emoticon!

Day 14: Stoke A Campfire

Campfires can be found in snowy regions, and all you need to do to stoke is to add 30 wood to an already churning campfire. Do this twice to earn the Confetti wrap.

Every day brings in new challenges, so be sure to come back to check out the updated post!

    1. Merry Christmas to you too! The current season is pretty good so far. No overpowered items, a fair meta and an awesome Battle Pass. This season seems to be very story-oriented, which is great.
