What’s In Store For The Game Awards 2020

The Game Awards 2020 is one of the biggest gaming awards shows, alongside the Golden Joystick Awards. With just a few hours until the show premieres, I decided to, just like what I did with the Golden Joystick Awards, talk about the nominees and the upcoming game reveals. The Game Awards has been around since 2014, and their 6th year in may be their biggest one yet! In this guide, I go over the game reveals we MIGHT see and the confirmed nominees. We also mention that Brie Larson, Gal Gadot, Keanu Reeves, Troy Baker, Nolan North and John David Washington will come on stage during the presentation, but what they will do is unknown.

Reveals

The Game Awards is known for it’s various game announcements, and it seems like 2020 will be no different! We should get some new Fortnite news perhaps pertaining to the leaked Master Chief outfit, and Nintendo also reports that a new Smash fighter will be presented during the show. Popular theories for characters include Crash Bandicoot from his titular franchise, Jonesy from Fortnite, Rayman from his titular franchise or Sora from Kingdom Hearts, but since we got Steve and the rest of the Minecraft gang announced in October, the sky’s the limit when it comes to new fighters.

Tune in live right now!

    1. There’s a specific deadline for nominees. If your game released prior to December or late-November, then you’re in! And they couldn’t put it at the anticipated section because it literally came out the day of the ceremony. So Cyberpunk 2077 will most likely appear at the 2021 show.
