Possible Ghostbusters Collaboration Teased In Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite: Battle Royale has what feels like endless crossovers. We used to get 1-3 major ones every season, which included LTMs, cosmetics, challenges and more. But more and more frequently, we have been getting more and more promotional material in the game. From weekly concerts in Party Royale involving artists like Diplo and BTS, to having characters like Deadpool, Aquaman and Wolverine in the seasonal Battle Pass, it seems like Epic Games really likes collaborating with everyone and everything. The next collaboration is going to be with the Ghostbusters franchise, it seems!

The Ecto-1 Teaser

At the isolated Camp Cod landmark, inside a small shed, you can find the Ecto-1, which is the main vehicle the crew use in the movies.

It’s under wraps, which reminds me a lot of the Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer, the third movie in the franchise. The film was originally slated for release this summer, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, was pushed back to March 2021. I doubt they’ll tease a collaboration so early, so I expect to get outfits based off the original 2 films (And hopefully not the 2016 reboot) and then outfits based off the third movie when it releases next year.

Other Leaks

We also have some leaked bundle names, and a legacy achievement involving the Ghostbusters, so this is 100% confirmed to be happening.

  • Ghostbusters Gear
  • Ghostbusters Patrol
  • Ghostbusters Crew

Plus, Rocket League is currently having a Ghostbusters crossover (Just like how they had a Stranger Things one last year), and Rocket League and Fortnite seem to be working much more closely now, especially after the Llama-Rama event, which had Fortnite-themed cosmetics in Rocket League and vice-versa.

This new crossover can hopefully be a gateway to more classic 80s movie coming to Fortnite. A Back To The Future crossover would sell cosmetics like hot cakes!
