Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the fifth Smash Bros. game, and, while I don’t play it, is arguably one of the biggest video games of the 2000s century. The series serves as a crossover with every major Nintendo character, with some third-party inclusions like Sega’s Sonic The Hedgehog and Rare’s Donkey Kong. But recently, they’ve been adding characters with little relation to Nintendo, like Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series. And now, after years of requests, it seems like we’re getting the characters, places and lore from the Minecraft games!
Since the news was just revealed, we have little information about the characters. But from the trailer, it seems like we’ll be getting the Steve, Alex, Zombie and Enderman characters from the game as fighters. We can also briefly see other Steve skins, which will most likely be alternate costumes. We should get more info on October 3.
Here was the reveal video for the Minecraft crossover, presented by none other than Masahiro Sakurai, the current director and game designer for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
